Student Letters
Dear Donors and Members of PEI,
I would like to take this opportunity to thank everyone involved in
PEI for the blessing they have given me and for all the efforts they
have put into supporting me. I thank God daily for the opportunity to
attend Nuestra Senora de La Merced (Our Lady of Our Mercy). Everyday
I work tirelessly to live up to the expectations of my school but also
to try and honor the efforts everyone involved. My parents work hard
but their employment is irregular and without this scholarship I
wouldn't have the opportunity to access such an incredibly education.
This education has opened up my vision into what is possible in life.
I've been able to participate in the Track team and was named captain
of our junior Olympic squad. I medaled in the 4 x100 and 4x400 led my
team to overal team victory. In a competition between other Parochial
schools I also medaled in my age group as well as the age group above
me own.
I can't stress how amazing the school has treated me. Although we are
poor they don't treat me differently and parents, teachers, and other
students have welcomed me. They have also received my parents very
well. Celia Zela de Torres and her whole family have been very
supportive and helped us with everything. Without them things would
be very difficult. She has made sure that everything has gone well. I
leave you with a warm hug from my whole family. I thank God for this
opportunity and hope that He gives you the capability to continue this
great work.

I would like to thank every donor and member of this organization for
you incredible help in my studies. I'm especially helpful for helping
me reinforce me studies before entering secondary school because it
has allowed me to adapt to Nuestra Senora de La Merced (Our Lady of
Our Mercy) very well. It has been challenging to take advantage of
this opportunity God has given me but after adapting to the school I
have faith that I will succeed and become one of the very best
students in the school.
